Of Viruses and Christmas... Oh yeah & my dad's birthday

GOD Damn Viruses!! I hate them! They’re a bane of life! Recently (Maybe not so recently), A new msn virus has been going around. I got infected because I opened a file named img-0012.zip which was sent via msn from a Thai contact of mine, Addie. Hence, I opened and got infected. This happened on Sunday. Damn, it cause a lot of issues. Poor Eileen got infected from me. T_T I’m so sorry, Leen.

I think I managed to clear the virus away but I’m not certain. Haiz… To anyone who got infected from me, I’m terribly sorry! To anyone who have a bit of PC skills, HELP!!! And bro, no lectures from you. I didn’t download anything to get it. I GOT IT FROM A TRUSTED COLLEAGUE. Of course, it was only when I got to the lab today that Tou told me one lab computer recently got infected when Addie’s account was used. He asked me to be careful. -_-lll too late…

Anyway, Yesterday was my dad’s birthday. I wanted to blog yesterday but I got infected. So yeah. I managed to clear it (I think) today so I’m saying right now:

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY DAD!!

Yep, Oyaji’s Birthday falls on Christmas Eve. XD Today is Christmas day. No celebrations though. Thailand is a Buddhist country. HOWEVER, they celebrate New Year in the same manner as Christmas. They exchange prezzies, etc. ^^ I already got 2 prezzies. :P

So today, my lab held a new year’s party (I call it Christmas though). We ordered KFC, pizza, etc. It was not bad. It was almost like the gatherings my family had but it certainly lack the gusto and noise. Still, free lunch (free KFC and pizza!), so no complaints. Nope, none at all.

I’ll post the Xmas pics up when I have time because I need to transfer the photos from my handphone to my lappie and I forgot to bring the Bluetooth adaptor to the lab. Meanwhile, I realized that up till now, I have yet to give an introduction into my place and neighbourhood, Victory Monument. So yeah, Some photos. Whoo hoo, PICTURE SPAM:

Victory Monument, or as the locals call it, Ano Sawari. I took this pic from an overhead balcony from the BTS station.

The view from my balcony. I took the the fireworks video from here. You can see the highway in the top part of the photo. A lot of cars stopped here that night to watch the fireworks. Hence, the traffic jam that night. Lucky me though. ^^

A view of the Grand Palace when I accompanied a swedish friend there. Not very clear because my hp's only 2 MP. Deal with it!

My thai colleague, my swedish friend and me. Background is the Vimanmek Mansion. The largest original teakwood palace. Shifted here from SriChang Isle. They have the remains of the palace in the Isle. Will upload (and give more info) next time.

The Throne Hall near Vimanmek Palace. It was nice inside. But girls have to wear a wraparound skirt before entering. -_-

Temple Wat Arun from the river of Chao Phraya. I was in a moving boat when i took this picture. Coupled with my poor camera, NOT a clear picture at all.

Not linked to anything. But I have a hunch my brother will like this. So I post it up for him. He likes wierd things like this!
