Of Bangkok men and Noodles

Oops… haven’t blogged for so long. Can’t be helped. I’m so busy over the past few days. Have to rush to catch up. And with experiments, can’t rush much or end up blotching them.

A good thing that happened this week is that… Am got BF!!! Well, not exactly boyfriend, but Definitely more than a friend. It is the coffeeboy from the café near our workplace. His name is Mai, by the way.

Why is it a good thing that she has a BF? I mean, it’s none of my business, NOT. ^^ The good thing is that. Me and Tou gets free drinks every lunch! I got free cocoa and Tou gets free cappuccino. So for the past few days, I saved up on drink cash. And our lunch time gets dragged long. Thank god for long experiment incubation time, which allows for slacking during lunchtime.

So Am gets a guy recently. This prompts me to ask how come Dew, Addie and all the lab technicians didn’t have boyfriends?

Apparently, the ratio of guys to girls in Bangkok is 1:4. Wow, In addition, don’t forget that Thailand is famous for gays and transvestites. And they aren’t placed in the female category either.

This makes for straight guys to be in extremely hot demand. No wonder they (the lab girls) are all oohing and ahhing over my brother’s picture. -_-lll The one he sent me of him and Nat (his GF). Am was so interested in him saying he’s “cute” and “handsome” (her (their) words, not mine). Nat, get ready a stick when you come to Thailand. On the contrary, no need. They sell weapons in Chatuchak. Shurikens, daggers , etc. I even saw a a katana and crossbows. Awesome, aint it?

In my lab, out of about 20 personnel, there are only 4 guys. One is taken (too freakin’ old! ><), One is gay, One is a brother, One is unknown. Haiz… Unknown as in “unknown status: Gay or Straight? According to Addie, he’s so macho sometimes, and so gay in other times. -_- lll

Anyway, Friday night, I went with them to a famous noodle restaurant in Victory Monument. It was so refreshing, being in that stall. I had noodles in some kinda pork liver soup and in Tom yam soup, together with deep fried pork skin. It was awesome! But too bad I can’t bring my family there. I can’t speak thai. -_- Yeah, pics spam! The top one below is the tomyam version and the bottom is the Nem Tuok version.

So yeah, basically that’s about it. So yeah, Gonna blog soon again. Gonna sleep now. I have to work tomorrow. Another good thing, I manage to connect the lab’s high speed internet to my lappie. Means: MAPLE STORY, HERE I COME. Hey, be glad I’m working on Sunday. Nobody say I can’t work and play at the same time. XD especially on a Sunday. Lalala…
