Of scammers and bad luck...

Seriously, I'm downright unlucky these few days. First of all, my gastritis upped a level into chronic gastritis and i haven't healed despite a week. 2nd, my bag spoiled. 3rd, I nearly got scammed.

By Singapore's infamous Steven Lim, no less.


At first I thought he was a volunteer asking for a donation. But he started off with, "hi, do you know who I am?"

Er... That's an unusual first line... But he looked familiar...

He mistook my silence for no, which is true.

"My name is Steven Lim. I'm the big boss of Singapore's biggest online talent agency"

What kind of volunteer starts off like that? But where did i hear that name from? Hm...

"Can I have 2 minutes of your time? You have a very attractive face..." He rattled on and on and I couldn't catch what he said. I was more focused in trying to place where I saw his face and where i've heard this name before... I've heard this name before. I know i did and it ain't anything good.

He then proceed to show me "evidence" of his company - a letter from Mediacorp and a newspaper cutting of him together with his models...

And then it hit me like a basketball to my head.

Steven Lim. STEVEN LIM! THAT SINGAPORE IDOL REJECT!!! THAT WAS HIM!!!

"Er sorry, but i'm not interested in modeling." With a polite smile, I turn and left.

It HAD to be a scam. No doubt about it. Come on, he's practically infamous in Singapore...

I went home, researched online and found out that one have to pay $100 to join...

Strange... He didn't tell me that...

Or maybe it's because I left before he had the chance to do so... Ah well... I'm still unlucky to be caught. At least i managed to escape...

Damn, Why am I so unlucky?
