My older cousin, Guo Jian Kor Kor, proposed to his girlfriend on 8th August 2008 at Sentosa. He announced this news on the family portal yesterday…
And I just found it out.
I can’t believe it… Will some kind soul hand me a shot of tequila? Make that 2. Scratch that, even a whole bottle of Tequila is not enough to calm my nerves or 压惊, as the chi call it.
GJ kor has always been the quiet, serious and cautious type who did not ever strike me in my mind to be the type that will propose to his GF. Heck, more like his GF has to propose to HIM. SO right now, I’m still reeling in shock that HE proposed to his GF.
Maybe I’m just over-reacting. But he has always been my bro and right now I still think that I’m a kid. But apparently, everyone did some growing up and hence, it was a big shock to find out that in a blink of an eye, they are about to get married. Looks like they’ve all grown up, getting married and all. NO longer “kids” but now we have joined the legion of “grown-ups”.
How I wish to be Peter Pan…
That aside, AHEM! Time for the festivities to commence! Chi believe 8th August 2008 or 080808 is an suspicious day for getting married because “8” sounds like “fa” which means riches.
Oh yeah, they are getting married 2 years down the road. Haha! I WANNA BE BRIDESMAID!
That said, can I faint from shock now? *faints*
