I’m beat, having to support 3 classes of practicals consecutively… You got to hand it to the kids. The amount of trouble they get into is unbelievable.
1st) They (nearly) spoiled a fermenter that costs 100,000. Now something’s wrong with the heating element and I have to answer to my boss.
2nd) They sit on the bench tops that are used for experiments only, not for resting their butts.
And my fave:
3rd) They opened a bottle of concentrated Hydrochoric Acid – those fuming, extremely corrosive kind – with their bare hands, when the bottle’s clearly labeled “HCl – CONC 37%”
… What are kids learning in school nowadays?
In addition, I lost my access card to the labs. Now I have to make a police report and pay the fines. Heard from 1 source it’s $200 but I don’t think it’s that expensive. But it’s not going to be cheap either. >_<
Adding to this fact is that I’m Drop Dead Broke. So how am I going to pay for the fines and my meals till end of July?
