I got back from my talk with Mr. X. Strangely, He was polite and gentlemanly to me. But damn, his English was good… There goes my chance to prank him. We talked about the project and I got him to send me notes regarding the project. Along the way, somehow or rather, he took to telling me about his background.
O.o? Did I ASK for his background? Or maybe he just feels like wanting to intimidate me or make him respect him. Intimidate me? Not even in your wet dreams. Respect you? Dude, too late. No way am I going to respect you after how you treated Jiu Fu & Jian Lei.
Even when he spoke of them to me just now, it was obvious he didn’t care for them at all. He denied them the most basic respect and courtesy by calling them, “the Chinese guys” instead of calling them by their names. Not being able to remember their names is NOT an excuse. He remembered previous DRP students’ names, for god’s sake, and they WERE students who didn’t do much (I used to be a DRP student so I know).
You know what’s the best part? He was a PRC Chinese before obtaining an Australian citizenship. Hence, I find it strange that he didn’t like PRC when he used to be one. He referred to Jiu Fu & Jian Lei in such a degrading manner. Still, one good thing (only 1 tiny little one) about him - he immediately send me the project notes which Mr L had delayed sending me for about… 2 weeks?
I really don't wanna admit it, but I think Dr X knows what he is doing. It's just that the way he does things clashes with my friends'. It's like they are viewing and walking towards the same mountain but from different angles. Maybe that's why he didn't like them. He told me, in much more subtle terms of course, that if I obey him and does things his way, it will be to my benefit... How you guys wanna view this, I leave it up to you...
Nevertheless, it’s also obvious he treats people differently based on their nationality. It’s strange how you can find such superficiality in a SCHOOL. Kinda sad, isn’t it?
I guess this is really “part” of the school curriculum – to teach you that there are really all kinds of people in this world…
