Indian weddings~

Just attended an Indian wedding today, rather yesterday since it was already past midnight... It was Uncle Sadou's daughter's wedding and she married a Dutch. Apparently, the bridegroom wanted the Indian rites as well.

It was the first time I had attended an Indian wedding since i was young. back then, i can barely remember how the wedding was like. Hence, I was rather excited about it. Sad to say, my behavior during the wedding was not fantastic at all. I nearly fell asleep during the 2nd half of the wedding ceremony rites. >.< hope that the cameraman didn't video tape me sleeping . It would be way embarrassing.

Nevertheless, it was funny to hear her dutch husband read the vows in Indian. XD A few indian men in the audience were smirking away and some was even covering their mouth to stop their laughter. The indian words coming out of the dutch's mouth were so ... wierd. Even I was able to tell the accent in the slang. I don't wanna know how it sounds to the real indians. >< Still, you gotta applaud him for tryin his best to speak in a different language.

In any case, it was the lunch after the ceremony that arouse my excitement the most. XD ever since young, mi and my bro had been great lovers of Indian cuisine. even when the meal was vegetarian - don't ask me why, i have no idea - the food was good~ ^^ As expected of indian cuisine, we sat at the table and ate from genuine banana leaves. They gave us really small portions, though. But don't judge a book by its cover, they said. How true, I was bloated before I can finish half. >.<

Here are some pictures from the indian wedding. I didn't get many because of the multitudes of idiot blocking my way, and I absolutely refuse to get up from my seat to take photos of the bride and bridegroom. God knows there's enough people doing that and blocking the rest of the people invited from being able to view the ceremony in peace.
