“Apple Chan, What would you give a woman who’s independent, beautiful, dark haired, hard-to-get, fair, and smart?”
HUH?
Who would have known then that such a question would have opened my eyes to the power of love?
The situation begins like this: I have a friend in
M found himself love struck by the ‘vision of a goddess’ (his words, not mine.) that had walked past him. Once returning back to earth from his reverie, he hurried back and wanted to get a gift straight away for ‘the Goddess he has finally found.’ (his words, not mine).
SO, the whole of yesterday, we (me, Pup, and SH) set out to find the identity of the Goddess. Or rather, Pup and M did most of the searching while SH and I tried to come up with ways to refine the search.
The search was even harder because we totally had no clue who she was, only how she looked like. Dear old M couldn’t tear his eyes from her face to check out what kind of books she’s holding or the face of her friends.
It had been love at first sight for M. “It’s a chance encounter; a pure coincidence of an undying emotion.” He declared with hearts for eyes and a passionate flame for a soul.
And with this declaration, he set out to find the identity of the girl. As his friend, Pup was roped in (read: forced at gun point) to help in the search for the ‘Goddess of M’s Eyes’ (M’s words, not mine). Trust me; it’s not easy searching through 2,000 international students.
We tried our hardest but the truth is, how do you go about finding one female in a canadion university with a population of 20,000? There are 2,000 international students and we don't even know if she might be Canadian Chinese. That will make things worse. It means we have to search through 18,000 students.
And my gosh! Love really conquers all! We found her! In the sea of 20,000 students in a Canadian university, we found her! We actually managed to find a needle in a haystack! Make that 10 haystacks!
Could you believe that? It’s like a miracle!
So now, it comes down to approaching her.
It was down right hilarious seeing M being so fired up over the girl. Poor Pup was roped in to be the servant to help with all the menial parts. SH and I have to be the ones to think up strategies to help him win his Love. And M….
Wait a minute… M got left with nothing to do! We did everything for him! He just have to approach her and don’t slip up… I guess that makes us the Beauty (guess who?), the Brains (SH & I, Duh!) and the Brawn (Pup!).
Ah well, anything for the sake of love, I guess…
So right now, Operation Goddess Search is completed: we found her name, major, year, and even, believe it or not, her contact through another female friend.
We could be P.I.s!
And right now, Operation Worship (AKA the part where M has to approach her) is beginning. No worries, people, I’ll keep you updated! Pup promised to report back all the happenings!
Just a note, I think it’s very noble of M to go through so much just to get the contact of his crush. Seriously, you don’t see this in
“When a guy wants to see you, he’ll make it happen.” Alex from The movie: He’s just not that into you.
How true.
